General terms and conditions
A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking date. If payment is not received within 7 days of the payment due date Gather and Glow reserve the right to cancel the booking, and the deposit forfeited.
Orders placed less than 4 weeks (28 days) before the hire date will require payment in full at the time of booking.
A $100 bond is secured within all quote’s and will be returned via direct bank deposit upon pick up or drop off of all hire products.
The balance of your booking is due 2 weeks prior to your hire date. Once your booking has been paid in full (2 weeks prior to event) a cancellation fee of 100% of the booking total applies.
Delivery is quoted based upon the location of where required.
Packages are quoted and exclusive deals offered where applicable at the discretion of Gather and Glow.
All hired products are 24-hour hire only unless organised with Gather and Glow beforehand.
All hires include delivery, set up and pack down after the 24-hour period unless otherwise organised.
The customer must consult with the venue to obtain permission for Gather and Glow to setup equipment on their premises and ensure sufficient space and power provisions. A contact name and phone number for all venues must be provided and the customer or someone organised b y the customer must have organised drop off times if the customer is unable to be there upon delivery and setup. The customer is not required to be present for pick up of all hires. The customer is responsible for allowing Gather and Glow sufficient time and access to the venue for delivery, set up and pick up.
Images will be taken of the equipment upon setup for reference of the current condition in the event of a dispute.
Any custom built or special-order equipment requires upfront payment in full.
Once a booking is confirmed and deposit paid no items can be removed or changed unless written communication is received, and this will be at the discretion of Gather and Glow. This is due to other bookings and Gather and Glow product availability.
All cancelations must be received in writing to Gather and Glow at gatherandglow.au@outlook.com with the deposit being forfeited.
Failure to respond to communication after booking and not providing details regarding the venue/delivery/drop off and pick up times will result in booking cancellation and all monies forfeited.
Losses, damages and your secured bond
The customer named in the booking shall accept all responsibility for hired equipment during the rental period that is agreed upon. In the event the hired equipment is lost or stolen a $300 replacement cost is applicable to Gather and Glow. In the event the equipment is broken or damaged this will render your $100 bond. If there is ie a smashed globe or timber damaged the customer will be responsible for the cost of these repairs and quoted thereafter accordingly. This will be forfeited out of the $100 bond. Any fees incurred from venues due to improper use or handing of the hire equipment (ie damages to venues) will be at the responsibility of the customer.
Variations – Balloon Mosiacs and personalised balloon services
Given the organic nature of balloons, no two balloon mosaics will be exactly the same. The colours and compositions while a close match may not be identical to images provided in regard to some shades of balloon colours. Gather and Glow will make every attempt to match colours and order to desired needs.
Balloons are by nature temporary items. Although Gather and Glow uses only the finest quality balloons, some balloons will occasionally deflate sooner than expected and will also be adversely affected by wind, rain, sunlight, rough handling and other uncontrollable factors. Gather and Glow does not guarantee perfect results regarding balloon decoctions but will make every effort to with all orders.
Warnings- Balloons and Electricity
Latex balloons can cause chocking, suffocation and strangulation. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure puncture or deflated balloons including any small pieces are removed and disposed of immediately and balloons are kept away and out of reach of children.
Whilst our light letters and numbers use a low voltage neon strip light or globe, and we provide compatible power supplies for each piece of equipment they are still connected to live sources of electricity. It is the customers responsibility to ensure no water comes into contact with the equipment and applicable power supplies during the hire period.
Items have been designed primarily for indoor se. Though they can be used outdoors in good weather conditions, due to materials they are made from water and weather can cause significant damage. If an outdoor setting is planned but weather conditions are not suitable for the equipment (pending wet weather, rain or strong wind etc) then an alternative location needs to be arranged.
If our lights are placed outdoors without shelter, please ensure in the event of raining, storms wind etc they are moved to an undercover and suitable area. Through the hire period the customer accepts responsibility for the equipment.
If in doubt, please call Gather and Glow and we can come to your venue to move any equipment.
Please do not leave equipment out overnight
Gather and Glow accepts no responsibility of harm endured where the above conditions go unfollowed.
Gather and glow will take any precaution in regard to the equipment to limit any risk of damage and reserves the right to move the equipment to another location than prearranged in the event of any weather warnings.
Exceptional Circumstances
Gather and Glow is committed to working with the customer when unforeseen circumstance arises and we will work with you to review your booing in accordance with the following;
- Any change of date or postponement request is to be submitted in writing to au@outlook.com and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Date changes do not allow for equipment and hire changes due to change of mind of change of delivery and venue. Any change requests must be received via email to au@outlook.com and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- New event dates and hires are subject to availability.
Insurance, Copyright & Intellectual Property
Gather and Glow carries public liability insurance and recommends that separate event insurance be considered to cover such events, such as weather, theft, equipment failure and any other foreseen incidents.
Gather and Glow owns all intellectual property including all designs, literary and artistic works, documents, plans, drawings, specifications, sketches, reports, graphics and logos created by Gather and Glow
Gather and Glow reserves the right to take images of their equipment at the completion of setup for us on all social media platform. Tagged images of Gather and Glow on social media platforms may be shared with credit and permission gained.
No pictures of children will be used on any social media platforms or website unless parental permission is gained, and this will require a consent form to be signed in this instance.
Any pictures of customers will also have to sign a consent form for their pictures to be used on social media and or our website.
Disputes
If at any time you are unsatisfied wit the services provided these concerns must be made in writing to gatherandglow.au@outlook.com within 48 hours from the conclusion of the hire period. Any complaints or disputes will be taken into consideration and every effort to satisfy the customer will be made. Gather and Glow takes all reasonable steps to make customers happy and the customer service exceptional.
If any issues arise during the hire period, the customer must contact Gather and Glow on the phone number provided at the time of setup.
Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes any guarantees, warranties, representations or conditions implied or imposed by law, including the Australian Consumer Law ("ACL") (or any liability under them) which by law may not be limited or excluded.
Gather & Glow has the right to change the Terms and Conditions set out above, however notice of the amendment will be given to the Customer should a booking already be in place.
The Customer will be notified via the email address provided at the time of booking. In these circumstances, should the Customer not agree in accordance to the new Terms and Conditions, a refund of the entirety of the booking will be offered.
